Willie Earl Knight, Jr. was born Sept.1, 1953 in Elmore County, Alabama - the first of eight children to Willie Earl Sr. and Dorothy Knight.
In Jefferson Davis High school, Willie met and fell in love with Lois Wilson. After graduating from high school in 1971, Willie enlisted in the military. While in the military on April 14, 1973, Willie married the love of his life, Lois Wilson. Together they raised their two children: Desi and Shaya Knight. His last military assignment was Alaska. He loved living there so much that he decided to make Anchorage, Alaska their home. He retired from the military after 20yrs of service. He loved working on and restoring his first car but his greatest fun time was fishing with his buddies, as everyone knows that have eaten halibut, salmon or king crab claws from Mama Knight's house or that he sent to his Alabama families and friends to enjoy!!! Lastly but not the least, Willie will be remembered for his stickler of details in all that he did in caring for all the persons that he loved, putting their concerns above his own!
He is preceded in death by two of his siblings: Gary Knight and Ronald Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memories his parents Willie Earl Sr. and Dorothy Knight; his wife Lois and their children Desi and Shayla Knight and two grandchildren: Devin and Xavier Knight; also seven brothers and their families: Donald Thomas, Donald, Kenneth, Craig, Calvin, Allen, and Philip Knight. He also leaves three aunts: Arnold Ruth, Lois Cain and Ida Pratt; one uncle Lonnie Cain Jr and a host of other relatives and friends; also his very, very close friends: Bill Sanford, Louis Steven, Johnny Cricket and close fishing buddies: Bill Sanford, Bill Ray, Johnny Cricket, J.Y and Les.
