Vicki Lammon Obituary

Vicki O’Donnell Lammon, age 70 of Montgomery, Alabama passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and sons on Monday February 2, 2026, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Jesus reached down and took her by the hand and welcomed her into Heaven. For the first time, she was able to hold the baby boy she never got to meet. What a reunion that must have been. Along with her baby Jason Raybon, she was preceded in death by her father, Neal O’Donnell, brother Steve O’Donnell and her first husband Wayne Raybon.

She is survived by a family who loved her dearly, her husband Steve Lammon, her sons, Brandon (Lakeisha) Raybon, Chason Smitherman, Carson (Carly) Hubbard and Paul (Brittany) Lammon, her grandchildren, Brandi (Robert), BJ (Brandon Raybon II), LaKira, Laelyn, A’Miracle, CJ (Chason Smitherman Jr.), Waylon, Hazel, Hanan and Kye, great grandchildren Peyton and Paxton, her mother Mary O’Donnell, three sisters, Melissa Johnson, Cornelia (Neil) Harris, Lynn (Frank) Bertarelli, three brothers, Pat, Lee and Eric O’Donnell, more nieces and nephews than we can count. Vicki had a generous spirit that many can attest to and had a heart for those less fortunate. Most of that generosity came anonymously because she enjoyed giving for no reason at all. She would rather receive her credit in Heaven than on earth. One of her dreams was to open a restaurant, and she did that with gusto. Vicki’s Lunch Van became a household name. In the beginning it was in a van and now in a standalone building, but the name stuck. The lines of customers always humbled her, and most became like family to her. She loved to listen to John Hagee almost daily; she loved her little church Trinity Baptist Church and was baptized at Eastmont Baptist many years ago. We are going to miss her terribly, smile often at memories, and do our best to follow her lead and make her proud.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 ~ 11:00am at Church Of The Highlands, 4255 Taylor Road, Montgomery, AL 36116. As we extend our deepest condolences to you and your family during this difficult time, we would also like to express our utmost gratitude to you for entrusting us with your loved one.
