Vic Hinson, Sr.

HINSON, Sr., Vic a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 in a rehab facility.  Vic Andre Hinson affectionately known by many as “Dunley” was born on May 26th, 1955 to the late Ms. Annie Laura Hinson in Montgomery, Alabama. 

He received Christ at an early age at Saint Jude Catholic Church. He was an only child but he was raised alongside with his cousins, Diane Penny and Lawanda Sapp. His mother passed away when he was only three years so he was adopted and reared by his grandparents the late Asa and Eula Hinson and his aunt Mary J. Bibb.

After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and after serving he relocated back to Montgomery, Alabama where he was employed for many years at the Montgomery County Health Department.

Vic was preceded in death by a loving grandson- Lacourtney Colvin who was also enlisted in the military at his time of death.

He leaves to cherish his memories children-Vic Hinson, Jr., Dominick McCoy, Raven McMillian, Crystal Hinson Bowman, Erica Hinson, Diana (John) Tellis Gordon, Freddie Howard. (Montgomery, Alabama). Grandchildren- Keeterah Williams, Victoria May, Via Marie Greenwood, Joel Colvin, Miyanna McMillian, Jaleen McMillian, Earndra Hines, Shannen McMillian, Devonte Tellis, Camillia Tellis, Johnmeria Gordon, great grandchildren Kalaiya Smith and a host of other grandchildren. Aunt- Mary J. Bibb (Montgomery, Alabama) uncle- Louis Hinson (Cleveland Ohio) a host of many other loving relatives, friends

Graveside service will be Saturday, November 23, 2024 - 12:00pm at Greenwood Cemetery, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama, 36109.  Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2024 8:30am to 6:00pm at Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services, 901 South McDonough Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104.
