Turner Chapman Seale, 80, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on January 26, 2023, after a brief illness. Turner was born to John and Gladys Seale in Anniston, Alabama. After graduating from Lanier High School, he went on to study at the University of Alabama where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta and graduated from Huntington College. After graduation, he started his career as an insurance salesman. A talented builder, he went on to form his own company, Turner Seale Contracting, Inc. Over his long career in construction and contracting, he worked on some of Montgomery’s finest homes and renovations. He married Kitty Litchfield in 1970, and they had two children, Kate Seale Smith and the late Turner Seale, Jr. Turner was a dedicated supporter of Kitty’s life-long passion for dance, and frequently built sets, working behind the scenes of Alabama Dance Theatre productions. He was almost always present at ADT events, showing guest artists, supporters, and dancers his trademark generous hospitality and unwavering support of their work. After retiring, Turner spent his time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking for his family, cheering for the Crimson Tide, and spending time at the lake. Turner was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church. Turner was predeceased by Turner, Jr., Kitty, and his parents. Turner is survived by his daughter Kate Seale Smith, his son-in-law Robert Evan Smith, grandsons Bennett Lohrne Robertson (16) David Chapman Robertson (14) Robert Turner Smith (4 years old) and step-granddaughter Brooke Catherine Smith (20); brothers in law Frank Litchfield (Sharon) and Wallis Litchfield. He is also survived by his beloved extended family, numerous friends, and the ADT family. He is now reunited with Kitty and Turner and dancing in heaven.
