Troy Darrin Medley

Troy Darrin Medley passed away on August 19, 2025, at his home in Wetumpka, AL, surrounded by loved ones.  Born on June 8, 1966, Troy was the son of the late Tommy and Carla Medley of Greenville, GA. After proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy and traveling the world, Troy eventually settled in Alabama with the one he loved most.

He had a deep passion for history and creativity, which he brought to life through detailed modeling of WWII Navy ships. He loved nothing more than spending time outdoors on his tractor and enjoying a good home-cooked meal. Troy also found great joy in playing his favorite video games, sharing moments with his family, and doting on his beloved puppy dogs.

Troy is survived by his loving partner of 20 years, Kimberly Miller; his sons, Richard Medley and Nathan Medley; his siblings: Thomas Lamar Medley, Rebecca Sue Gray, Robert Matthew Medley, and Marcia Diane Medley; and his nephews: Morgan Harlin, Casey Collum, Austin Scott, and Alex Medley.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Scott Medley.

Troy—known to many as Darrin—will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
