Taylor Nicole Batson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Taylor Nicole Batson, born on November 5, 1996, who left us on June 15, 2025. Taylor’s greatest accomplishments were her two beloved sons, Keron "KJ" Funderburke Jr. and Rayden "RJ" James Washington.

Taylor was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Batson. She is survived by her mother, Abbie Batson; her devoted partner, Wesley Washington, RJ's father; her two sons, KJ and RJ; her brothers, Christopher Batson and Roger Anderson III; KJ's father, Keron Funderburke Sr.; her grandmother, Teresa N. McLeod; her aunts, Michele and Teresa McLeod; her cousins Devon Elder and Joseph Thrash; and her best friend, who was more like a sister to her, Sierra Smith.

Taylor was a truly special person with an extraordinary personality. She had a unique way of ensuring things were done her way, always bringing fun and energy to every situation. Known for her love of food, she often filled her lunch breaks with the question, "What are we gonna eat, Kendall?" Her adoration for tacos was only surpassed by her passion for stunning lashes and extravagant nails.

Though her life was cut far too short, Taylor packed it with love, laughter, and joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th, 2025, from 3 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4 PM, at Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services, located at 901 S. McDonough St, Montgomery, AL 36104. All who loved her are welcome to attend.
