Steven Joseph Braunstein

Steven Joseph Braunstein, born August 13, 1953 passed away after a prolonged illness in Montgomery Alabama on June 15, 2023 at the age of 69. He is survived by (what he referred to her as) “His Bride” of 44 years Lisa Braunstein. Son, Joey (Sonya) Lee. Uncle William Walters, Two nieces, Tammy (John) Lolly and Amy Maulden plus many cousins and numerous friends. A special thank you to a brother in Arms and a brother in Christ for your consistent presence and devotion Lee Snell. Preceded in death by His parents “Blanche Walters Barlow, father Stanley Braunstein, his sister Sandra Maulden. His passions included sharing his faith in Jesus Christ first and foremost but he also enjoyed sharing a meal with friends and family, riding his motorcycle and spending time fishing. Steve served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He served as a Chaplin in DAV Chapter 33, Clanton for several years. He supported pastors and churches thru prayer and bible distribution as a member of the Gideons International and could always be called on as a mighty prayer warrior. God was always first on Steve’s heart and he never missed an opportunity to share his faith and pray for and with anyone and everyone. He was a lay minister in the Baptist Association and frequently visited the sick in the hospitals or in their homes. Steve was born 8/13/53 --- died 6/15/23. The dash between these two dates was his life. He lived it to the fullest and always with Christ and his Bride on his mind. His friends called that dash “Awesome”!

A memorial service to remember his life is Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 3 pm at Eastern Oaks Church 7505 Wares Ferry Road Montgomery Alabama. There will be an additional memorial service in Marianna, Florida at a later date.
