Shirley Dawson

DAWSON, Shirley a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the age of 86 after an extended illness.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Duane Dawson, as well as her parents, Gordon and Louise Bass, sister, Joyce Fitzgerald and brother, Rex Bass.  She is survived by her son, Douglas Dawson (Carrie), 2 Grandsons, Jedediah and Archer Dawson, Fairbanks, Alaska and sister, Pat Green (Nicky) Enterprise, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.

She was a faithful member of Frazer Free Methodist Church and Merry Widows Sunday School Class.  She Volunteered for many years for Meals on Wheels, Medical Outreach Ministries and the Duffey Center at Wesley Gardens.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
