Sherry Lee McFeely, 60, of Montgomery, AL, went to meet her Lord and Savior at the Community Hospital in Tallassee, AL, December 28, 2025 due to complications from brain cancer.
Sherry was born in Bellaire, OH in 1965 to Willard N. McFeely, Sr. and Carolyn Anne Duncan McFeely. She attended Neffs Elementary and Bellaire High School in Ohio before studying radiology at Wheeling Hospital in West Virginia. Upon graduating, she worked for the same hospital as a radiology aide before becoming a medical transcriptionist.
Sherry moved to Montgomery, AL, after a family job transfer in 1989 and began working as a receptionist at Jackson Hospital in the radiology department, then as a transcriptionist at the Montgomery Cancer Center in the radiation department and then as a transcriptionist for Neurosurgical Associates of Alabama in Montgomery.
In 2017, Sherry was diagnosed with brain cancer and underwent surgery to remove the tumor and then received Radiation Treatments followed by Chemotherapy.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father Willard McFeely Sr., Grandparents William and Esther McFeley, Step Grandmother Emma McFeley, Oscar and Wilhelmina Duncan, and Brother-in-Law, Steve Norris. Sherry is survived by her mother Carolyn (Jake) McFeely, brother, Willard McFeely, Jr., sister Cindy Norris, brother, Justin McClarran, his wife Ashley McClarran, brother Nathan Bowman, nieces, Delilah, Teagan, River and nephews, Kai and Noah, and her faithful companion, Parker. She is also survived by many friends, family, coworkers, and youth whose lives she touched.
Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, 2026 at 1:00pm at her home church Immanuel Presbyterian, 8790 Vaughn Rd in Montgomery, AL where she dedicated her life to faithful service. Burial and dinner will be immediately following at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations made to the American Cancer Society in remembrance of Sherry and her legacy.
