Russell Ernest Chapman, Jr.

Russell Ernest Chapman, Jr., passed away in the early morning of January 27, 2023. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from September 1960 to November 1963. Most of his life, he worked in sales starting at Teague Hardware and ended his career co-owning his own company Capital Door and Millwork. He was a loving husband and father. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Myrtle Sheppard Chapman, and his son, Dr. Ryan Russell Ernest Chapman, and daughter in-law, Lena, as well as his niece, Leah Norman-Johnson, and nephew, Chase Chapman. He was predeceased by his father, Russell Ernest Chapman, his mother, Thelma L. Carter Chapman, and brother, Douglas Glen Chapman. Funeral service will be private. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Auburn Knights Alumni Association, Montgomery Humane Society, or the charity of your choice. 

Memorial service will be held Friday, Febraury 24, 2023-2:00pm, Forest Hills Memorial Park, 9504 US Highway 331 South, Montgomery, Alabama 36105 with Military honors.
