Rudolph “Big Ru” Anderson was born September 2, 1952 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Joseph and Annie Lou Anderson.
Rudolph was a dedicated skilled construction worker with over fifty years of hard working experience building and repairing hundreds of residential and commercial property all over the Montgomery community, the State of Alabama and neighboring States in the South. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend that was called home on July 10, 2023, in Montgomery, Alabama.
Big Ru lived his life to the fullest. He had a vivacious personality and always made people around him laugh. Rudolph easily made friends everywhere he went. His gift was being able to make the family laugh and come together. His influence will forever remain in the lives of many who knew him.
Rudolph leaves to cherish his memories survived by his children Wendell “Chris” Brayboy, Taretta Duvall (Marques), Tangela Brooks (Montague) and Rudolph V. Anderson; his sisters, Rochelle Anderson, Danita Anderson, Lecora Mitchell and Cynthia Ballard (Willie); his brothers, Joseph Anderson (Catherine), Joe Cecil Anderson and Frederick Anderson (Deborah); 12 grandchildren Wendell Brayboy, Jr. John Brayboy, Hannah Brayboy, Tyler Bereal, Taylor Duvall, Marques Duvall, Jr. Mie’Chel Brooks, Demetryas Brooks, Zykia Anderson, Hailey Anderson, Bryson Anderson, Skylar Anderson; two great grandchildren Amir Adamu and Ja’Nae Foster. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins; a special friend Darryl Mack.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 - 1:30pm at Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services, 901 South McDonough Street, Montgomery, Alabama, 36104. Visitation Friday, July 14, 2023 Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services, 8:00am - 3:00pm.
