Ronald Gene Davis

Ronald Gene Davis aged 76, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025. Ron was a loving sometimes ornery person. He was preceded in death by his mother Lenora LaMay, his father William Davis, four brothers and all of his grandparents. He was a devoted loving husband to his wife to Phyllis Davis for 51 years, a loving father to his son Philip Crenshaw(Tessa Rodman), a loving PawPaw to his Grandson Dustin Crenshaw, his Grandson Reid Rodman and his Granddaughter Reagan Rodman, a loving brother to his sisters Candy Hale and Joyce Wise and a host of family and friends.

Ron loved picking on people, but would do anything for anybody. Often when he visited someone he would fix something at their home. Maybe a door that didn't close properly or a wobbly chair, whatever he noticed. He was always fixing things or working in his yard when he was home.  Ron was a retired TV engineer for WVTM Channel 13 in Birmingham Alabama.  He proudly served in the US  Army until March 16. 1970. He earned the rank of Sergeant.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 - 11:45am at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.

Ron loved Hawaiian shirts so to honor him the family asked that anyone who can wear bright colorful clothing. If you have a Hawaiian shirt please wear that.
