Ricky Harrell Seymore, 76, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Marion and Mary Magdalene Seymore and his sister, Judy Howell. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sandra Adams Seymore, children, Mark Seymore, April Warman (Chris), Brian Seymore (Nicholas), Frank Middleton (Nicole), Jeff Seymore, and Carol Newsom (Ken), 17 grandchildren, Katelyn, Kinley, and Abbi Seymore, Alana (Evan) and Ben Warman, Mary Taylor, Drew, and Maggie Seymore, James, Cole, Lilah, and Erin Middleton, Raymond Seymore, McKinley (Rusty), Dakota, Addison, and Grayson Newsom, sister, Patsy Moore, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He grew up in Selma, Alabama and attended Dallas County High School. He continued his education at Patrick Henry. He was known as Coach Seymore throughout his over 50 year coaching career. During this time, he also worked with Hibbett Sports and retired with BSN Sports. He loved golfing and hunting with his family and many friends. He enjoyed teaching and sharing his love for hunting with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving and cherished husband, father, and Papa Rick. He will be forever missed and loved.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 03, 2025, at 2:00pm at Macon East Academy, 15396 Vaughn Road, Cecil, Alabama 36013. Family will receive visitors an hour before the service beginning at 1:00pm
