Richard Emmet Obituary

EMMETT, Richard Thomas a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at his residence.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Richard P. Emmet, Elizabeth Thigpen Emmet and a brother Charles Alston Thigpen Emmet.

He is survived by his sisters Elizabeth Hare (Jay) Virginia Humphrey (Steve) Daisy Bear(Bowman) 6 nieces, 1 nephew, 4 great nieces, 4 great nephews whom he loved and adored. Tommy worked for Goodwill Industries for over 40 years.
He was an active member of First United Methodist Church and a loved member of their Seekers Sunday School Class. He enjoyed attending Respite Ministry and the Side by Side Choir. His service will be held in The First Methodist Columbarium on Monday, August 29th, 11:00. Contributions may be made to The Respite Ministry, 2416 W. Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, Alabama, 36106.
