Raymond Elwyn Culpepper, lovingly known as “Buster,” of Montgomery, passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 70. He was born on April 14, 1955, and throughout his life he was cherished for his humor, talent, and generous spirit.
Buster worked as a dedicated truck driver, but his true passion was music. He was a gifted drummer whose rhythms brought joy to countless family and friends. His sense of humor and easy laugh made him a joy to be around.
He is survived by his children, April Bowden (Kenneth), Shawn Culpepper (Amy), Presley Hill (Summer), and Casey Hill. His brothers Randy Culpepper and Tim Culpepper (Jeanette) and Sister Gwen Leslie.....as well as his grandchildren, Kinley Bowden, Rebekah Henson (Billy), and Braden Culpepper (Mariella), Preston Culpepper, Madison Culpepper (Emily), Hunter McGhee, Alex Culpepper, Carson Hill and Maycin Smitherman. Also his loving Aunt Patricia Cobb that loved him like her own his whole life. Also numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Raymond is proceeded in death by his Father Forrest Elwyn Culpepper his mother Clara Nell Britt, His Son Brandon Culpepper, his brother Arnold Culpepper his sister Patricia Gaye and sister Lynn Andrews
A Memorial service to celebrate Buster’s life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Crematorium and Funeral Home, 901 South McDonough Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor his memory.
