AUSTIN, Raymond T. born April 15, 1959--Died February 27, 2025. He was the fourth child of the union of Andrew and Louise Austin. Raymond was a good student who enjoyed learning the artistic skill of string art and with his shop class, participated in building a tiny house.
Raymond started working for a local grocery store when he was 16 years old eventually, finishing his working career at Alabama Power Company.
Raymond dedicated his life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1975.
Raymond married Kimberly Austin in 1984. A severe brain injury caused by a near death car accident effected him for the rest of his life.
Raymond was preceeded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ernest Perry and Woodrow Austin and Andrew Austin Jr., his sisters, Annie Pearl, Jetawin Bell, Antoinette Harris; brothers-in-law Charles Washington and Terry Briggs.
Raymond leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Kimberly, his brothers Sergeant P(Sima)Austin and (Alvin(Danya) Austin; his sisters Lula Claire, Angelina L(Kimrod) Henson, Althea Austin Briggs, cousin Rose Williamson, cousin"little brother" David( Evonne) Williamson, cousin Betty(Tom) Delaney. Long time friends, Melvin(Mary Pat) Spates and Frank Stephens. Along with a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and dear friends.
The Austin family wishes to thank all who comforted us with words of sympathy and encouragement, through phone calls, cards, hugs and sympathetic smiles.
