Peggy S Stansell

STANSELL, Peggy Sue  71, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away February 04, 2023. She was born in Montgomery, to Sammy and Mittie Schofield on July 20, 1951. She grew up in Montgomery where she remained a life-long resident there.

Peggy attended Robert E. Lee High School, class of 1969. Peggy was a member of Frazer United Methodist Church in Montgomery. She enjoyed every Friday movie dates with her husband Don, attending Auburn Tigers football games with her family and friends, quality time with her sister Glenda, and her children and grandchildren. Peggy and Don also enjoyed traveling, spending time at the lake and boating. Peggy was full of life, and although she was 71, she never considered herself an "old lady”.

Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband Don Stansell. She is survived by children Mike Poundstone and Blair Stansell Yarbrough and husband Clay; step-children Ashley Black and Charles Stansell; sister Glenda Schofield Beasley; grandchildren Ryan Black, Maddie Black, Luke Black, Abby Stansell, Marshall Stansell, Jacob Stansell, Emily Poundstone, Colby Yarbrough, Trent Yarbrough, and Pippa Yarbrough; cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a family visitation which will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Frazer United Methodist Church 6000 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery, 9504 US 331 S, Montgomery, AL 36105 .
