Paul Howard Shonk

Paul Howard Shonk of Montgomery, AL passed away on April 20, 2022, at the age of 73. Paul is survived by his children Chet (Susan) of Auburn, AL and his daughter, Dayna of Montgomery, AL. He is also survived by grandchildren, Lauren and Emily Ann Shonk and Logan and Addie Hambrick, his sisters Elizabeth Kaufman and Sarah Snopel, his brother John Shonk, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Carolyn Shonk, his parents Chester and Helen Shonk and his sisters Shirley Shonk, Iris Richards, Mary Ann Disney, and brothers, Chester Ray, Jack, Joseph Roscoe, and Noah David Shonk.

Paul was born in Linton, Indiana on January 17, 1949. He graduated from Linton High School.  He served his country in the US Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He worked as a Civil Engineer at Gunter Air Force Base. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and his dog, Bentley.
