Paris Alvin Elder

ELDER, Paris Alvin a resident of Ramer, Alabama passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, in a Birmingham, Alabama hospital. 

Paris Alvin Elder was born December 24, 1960, to the late Paris Elder and Eddie Mae Elder. At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal savoir and joined Warrior Hill Baptist Church.

Paris attended Montgomery County High and later retired from Allstate Beverage Company. After retirement he continued working as one of the community’s favorite auto mechanics. He was known as a Legendary Pine Level Car Racer.

God smiled upon him and called him home on May 30, 2026.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Paris Elder and Eddie Mae Elder and two brothers Michael Boswell and Billy Garrett.

He leaves to cherish in memory: Fiancée Dorothy Swanson Pine Level, AL. Children; Julius Wigfall of Montgomery, AL, DeAndre (Latoya) Knight of Pine Level, AL, Shekita Barnes of Brantley, AL, Briana Rhodes of Houston, TX. Sisters; Deborah Garrett of Dayton, OH, Shirley Rhodes and Bernetta Jackson of Montgomery, AL. Brothers; Kevin Boswell and Roderick Boswell of Fitzpatrick, AL, Mack (Chris) Elder and Oliver Elder of Pine Level, AL, Timothy (Vanessa) Elder of Montgomery, Alabama. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Best Friend and fellow Pine Level Racing legend Jesse Murry.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 06, 2026, at Macedonia Baptist Church, 17157 County Road 94, Grady, Alabama 36036.  Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, June 05, 2026, at Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services, 901 South McDonough Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104 (1:00pm to 6:00pm).
