Neill Jacobi Cowles, Jr.

Mr. Neill Jacobi Cowles Jr, a resident of Ramer, Alabama, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born November 22, 1940, in Montgomery, Alabama to Neill Jacobi and Kathleen J. Cowles.

Mr. Cowles is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mrs. Glenda N. Cowles; children, Neill Jacobi Cowles III (Beth Wood) and William Cowles (Sharon Rosemus); brother, Adrian DeWitt Cowles (Marlene Morrison); grandchild, Neill Jacobi Cowles IV (Sara Ray); great-grandchild, Phelps Cowles.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Neill and Kathleen Cowles.

Mr. Cowles retired from Montgomery Public Schools after 29 years of service as both a teacher and a principal. Neill was a motor sports enthusiast and was active in both drag racing and karting for over 50 years.  Aside from family, one of his greatest joys was serving as a host family for foreign exchange students, which he and Glenda did for seven years, hosting over ten students.
