Morris Christburg Manning Jr. born February 18, 1957, to Myrtle L. and Morris C. Manning Sr. was the first of six children. His departure leaves a huge void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
During his high school years Morris distinguished himself as an exceptional musician, earning all-state honors that reflected his talent and dedication to his craft. His musical achievements brought pride to our family and inspiration to his peers.
Driven by his passion and precision in artistry, he traveled to Atlanta to study tailoring where he mastered the intricate skill of garment construction. His career flourished at a prestigious suit making establishment where his superior craftsmanship earned him widespread recognition.
Embodying the entrepreneurial spirit, Morris eventually launched his own business, sharing his expertise in fine tailoring with the community. He also lent his skilled hands to various shops and dry-cleaning establishments. Morris was one of the best tailors in Montgomery and he loved the work.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving mother Myrtle Manning, two brothers Stanley Manning, Stephen Manning, two sisters Joyce Manning and Terrill Manning Tatum, a nephew Janeiro Manning, a caring supervisor Ted Clark and colleague Vaughn Baxter, a devoted cousin Phyllis Myrick and a host of other cousins and friends.
