Obituary
Matthew Edwin Gilmore (Mattie Gee), age 56, went to go play on the big stage on November 1, 2022. He was born in Hawaii and was a resident of Montgomery, Alabama. He is survived by his son, Stephen Gilmore, his step-children, Morgan Miles, Tyler Miles, Callie Miles, and his granddaughter Kyleigh Knight. Additionally, he is survived by his brother Danny Gilmore (Penny Conway), former wife Dena Gilmore, and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his mother, Claire Gilmore, and his brother John Gilmore (Larry). Matt was a lifelong musician, once belonging to The Spicolis and numerous other groups; he was currently engaged in the start of a new band, Whisky Stream, alongside his brother Danny. He was a computer genius, IT lord, graphic designer, and a yet to debut, comedian. Heaven is his home but earth will feel a void forever. Matt was cremated at Magnolia Cremations and Funeral Services and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Matt’s life.
