Mahone Teague, Mary "Nook" was born March 21, 1946. She was born to the late Lazarus Mahone and Lucille Foster Mahone. She went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2010. Her mother and father preceded her in death and also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, Jeredine Mahone and Willie Lee King. She joined Rockwest Missionary Baptist Church at
an early age and later joined Rock Elvy Missionary Baptist Church. She was presently a faithful member of Green Drive Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir until her death.
Mary attended the Pike County Public School System. She worked as a Homemaker with Margaret Floyd for 24 years. Mary enjoyed fishing and cooking, and she was known for her famous peanut brittle . On August 6, 1966, she was united in holy matrimony to Robert Teague, Jr.
and to this union two children were born.
Memories of her life will always be cherished by her devoted family: A loving husband, Robert Teague, Jr. Two children, Doris Jean (Edward) Teague and Willodean Teague, Troy, AL; Five brothers, Jeremiah (Maxine) Mahone, Nathaniel (Dessie) Mahone, Queens, NY; Willie James (Melissa) Mahone, Jacob (Mary) Mahone, Sr., Troy, Alabama; and Charles Thomas (Rosaura) Mahone, Montgomery, AL.Five sisters, Martha McKinnon, Montgomery , AL; Mary Dean Mahone, Luverne, AL; Linda (Willie) McGuire, Brenda (Will) Alford , Troy, AL; and Diane (Daurie) Shipmon, Atlanta, GA; four sisters-in-law: Doris Williams
of Shady Grove, AL; Loccie Allen, Lapine, AL; Annie Teague, Needmore, AL: brother-in-law: Will Lewis Teague (Joan) Three grandchildren, Derek Teague, Lacorey Teague, and Marcus Jackson. Two God grandchildren, Whitmon Merritt and Ray Money, Jr. Three aunts, LV. Oliver, Izella Fisher, and Fannie Foster. A special niece Krystina Maric
Mahone, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
