HOWARD KING, Lorene J., was born fifth of five children in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Mrs. Annie Hicks and Mr. Jessie Sellers. She received her wings on Wednesday, February 08, 2023. She was preceded in death by both parents, grandparents, and her brothers Willie “Preacher” and Johnny “Full Bosom” Howard.
She received her early education in Montgomery Public Schools and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1965. Lorene’s high school years were days of glory as she was a stunning Yellow Jacket majorette. She earned a degree in Business Management from Brooklyn Technical Institute, in Brooklyn, New York.
Along life’s pathway, Lorene encountered her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was baptized and added to Kinghill Church of Christ.
Precious memories of her life will be forever cherished by her caring and devoted daughter, Keisha L. Jones (New York) and an adorable granddaughter, Kyra T. Washington (Georgia) as well as

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 - 1:00pm, at Bell Road Church of Christ, 4645 Bell Road, Montgomery, Alabama, 36116. Burial will follow at Eastwood Memorial Gardens, 7500 Wares Ferry Road, Montgomery, Alabama, 36117. Visitation will be Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services 8am to 7pm.
