HOPSON-WORD, Laurette Inez was born the oldest of two children of her mother and father in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Nathaniel Hopson, Sr. and Betty Laura Williams Hopson. She received her wings on Monday, September 04, 2023. She was preceded in death by both parents, grandparents .
She received her early education in St. Louis Missouri . As she lived in St. Louis she was blessed with her oldest Alexandria Hopson and also got married to Lawyer Tremaine Word for 7 years following along to have her other 3 children Xavier Word , Lawyer Word and Alahna Word . Laurette took in early child hood education since high school at North County tech in St. Louis , Missouri but also attended Hazel wood central as well and has had a passion for children ever since from then she became a childcare teacher up until she became ill. She moved to Montgomery, Alabama with her 4 children and continued to spread her love for caring for children. After relocating to Montgomery, Alabama, she worked in the childcare field for many years.
Laurette was very much loved anywhere she went her sweet spirit would follow . Even while being ill she still was a fighter and continued to fight until her passing. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister , aunt , grandmother and daughter but also her hidden talents she loved the movie colored purple and favorite color of course was purple her laughter and very pretty smile will never be forgotten.
Precious memories of her life will be forever cherished by her caring children daughters, Alexandria L Hopson , Alahna D Word and her sons Xavier T Word and Lawyer N Word also her adorable grandchildren Londyn D Belser , Zoie J Provo, Jalen T Word , and Ameia D Word as well as:
