Larry Wayne Roeten

Larry Wayne Roeten, 71, of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away peacefully April 4, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama November 14, 1954, where his life began and many of his lasting memories were made.

Larry was a dedicated and hardworking man who worked for over 32 years with Earls Pools and Spa/ Singleton’s ELITE POOLS & SPAS. He took great pride in his work and loved his work family dearly. He was known for his reliability and quiet determination. Though he was a man of few words, his presence was steady and reassuring. 

His love for his family was never in question—it was shown through his actions, his consistency, and his unwavering support. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed car shows, road trips and camping with his family on Lake Martin.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Beverly Jean Roeten; his children, Shawn Lee Roeten (Kim), Heather Roeten Postma (Kevin), and Cynthia Dawn Roeten; his grandchildren, Brittany Leigh Postma, Justin Robert Postma, Hannah Marie Adams (Jacob), Avery Catherine Roeten, and Kason James Hatchcock; and his great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Jean, Evelyn Louise, and Koker Stokes, as well as many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and great-grandson Remington Turner.

Larry found joy in life’s simple moments and in the time he spent with those he loved most. His quiet strength, faithful presence, and deep love for his family will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.

A memorial service celebrating Larry’s life will be held at Magnolia in Montgomery, Alabama, on Friday April 10, 2026 at 4:00 pm. The family will receive family and friends prior to the service. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
