Joseph Damian Walley

Joseph Damian Walley from Prattville, Alabama was born on January 20, 1958, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and passed away peacefully April 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, following a lengthy illness at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Alabama.

Damian is predeceased by his son, Christopher Walley; his parents, Delbert and Kathrine Walley; his older brothers, Denis and Anthony Walley; and his nephews, Nickolas and Brandon Walley. 

He was a devoted husband, a loving brother, father, grandfather,  uncle, and cousin. Damian is survived by his beautiful sunshine and true soulmate, his wife, Janet Walley; his sister, Marianne Walley, his younger brothers, Patrick Walley and Brayden (Anne) Walley (Phillip); his sister-in-law, Gerre Walley; his stepdaughters, Megan (Ian) Brown and Kristen Mullins; his daughter, Amelia Howard; his twelve grandchildren who affectionately called him  "Gpa", Logan, Kinley, Jackson Trace, Karter (Tater), Mason, Jackson Cruz, Nellie, Lillie, Caroline, Liam, Amos, and Joel; and his numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends. 

Damian had a successful long career in the copier/printer/computer business that allowed him to travel and meet people from all over the world. His most recent, precious times were those spent with family and his loving, faithful, loyal companions, Lola Bea and Neck Bone. His passions outside of the corporate world were growing gorgeous roses, playing his guitars, riding his Harley, spending time with the Mobile Mystics, fishing and traveling. He was a die-hard Alabama football fan. Damian will be remembered for his quick wit and generous heart. His joy truly radiated from his faith, family, and friends.

A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.  "Roll Tide Roll and God Bless America!"
