John Harold Shepherd

John Harold Shepherd passed away on November 14th, 2023, at his home in Montgomery, Alabama.  He was seventy-nine years old.  He was the husband of Rebecca Shepherd, his wife of forty-two years.

     John will be remembered for his second-to-none, no-quit work ethic and rugged determination to get things done.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend his free time in the woods pursuing whatever game was in season.  He always had a joke ready for whomever he met, making people he interacted with laugh across the board.

     John is survived by his wife, Rebecca Shepherd; brother, Buddy (Gloria), daughter, Amy (Scott); son, Jake (Hunter), and three grandchildren (Austin, Jay Henry, and Gracie).  He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Shepherd; mother, Lola Mae; brother, Henry; and sisters, Martha Ann, Sunshine, and Nancy.

     John’s Memorial Service will be held on Monday November 20th, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. (visitation at 10:00 A.M.) at Young Meadows Presbyterian Church which is located at 5780 Vaughn Road Montgomery, AL 36116.
