Jerry Robinson Obituary

Jerry Wayne Robinson passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, in Montgomery, Alabama. He passed away doing what he loved, where he loved, and with the friends he loved working with.

Born on September 30, 1946, in Randolph County, Alabama to Lewis Durrough (L.D.) and Ethel Robinson, Jerry’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and family devotion. He was a beacon of strength and support to everyone that knew him.

He was married to Rozanne Patterson Robinson on March 11, 1989. They were blessed with 4 children: April Sanders (Timmy) of Lanett, AL, Chris Robinson (Melissa) of Portsmouth, OH, Shain Lott (Shannon) of Lanett, AL, and Jeremy Michael Smith (Dawn) of Clanton, AL. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, all of whom he loved and adored.

Jerry is survived by his brother, Jackie Robinson, of La Grange, GA and was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Robinson Neese, of La Grange, GA.

Jerry loved being busy and doing things for others. He could fix anything. He enjoyed deer hunting and “going after the big one.” His giving spirit will forever be cherished by his family, friends and everyone who knew him.

A Celebration of Life for Jerry is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. CST at Frazer Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama and will be held in the East Sanctuary with Dr. John Ed Mathison presiding. The family will receive visitors from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. CST.
