James Harry Alley was born on April 23, 1938, to Clinton and Edna Alley in Huntington, WV. James was the second of four children. His siblings were Don, Charles and Arlene.
James went to God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 14 for his freshman year of high school. He graduated from high school there and began college also. James met the love of his life, Mary Fuller at GBS during the 1958 school year. They were engaged by Christmas and married June 20", 1959. James and Mary had 3 children, James, Deborah and Vivian.
James and Mary moved to Kansas City to attend Kansas City College and Bible School. There James received his theology degree and then began pastoring. He pastored many churches in Kansas, Missouri, West Virginia and Ohio. His last ministry was at a station prison in Florida.
While pastoring, James worked several jobs as well. He worked at American Car and Foundry and wire mold, as well as caring for a couple of campgrounds and being a personal caregiver at different times.
In the latter years of his life, while living at Hobe Sound, Florida, he enjoyed visiting with friends and several weekly prayer meetings.
James is predeceased by his parents, his wife and all of his siblings. James is survived by his 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren.
