James Adams Obituary

James Michael Adams, 75 a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Ade and Lillie Frances Adams and his beloved son, James Michael Adams, II. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kelley Adams, children, Paula Michelle Adams Meeks, (Mike) and Kelley Dawn Adams Bert, (Todd), grandchildren Ryan Bert (Leela). Hunter Meeks (Emily), Brittany Meeks McCaskey (Zach), and Katie Bert Edwards (Matthew), and seven great grandchildren, Bryce McCaskey, Brett McCaskey, Jackson Meeks, Nolan Meeks, Ella Bert, Wyatt Bert, and Radley Edwards.

Mike loved his precious family dearly. He loved Auburn University and was one of their biggest fans. Mike farmed for many years in Statesville, Alabama. He loved taking his children at times to work with him so they could ride on the tractors and cotton pickers.

Those days were memorable to him. He also worked for International Paper in Selma, Alabama until he retired from there. After retirement he spent many happy days with all his great grandchildren.

Most important of all Mike loved God with all his heart and soul. He loved his church and was a proud member of First Presbyterian in Prattville. He served as a deacon there for many years. He helped teach catechism to the children in the church every week. He also went on several mission trips through the church.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 - 11:00am at First Presbyterian Church, 211 South Chestnut Street, Prattville, Alabama 36067, visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am.
