Harry James Brooks (65), known to most as “Jimmy” or “Bubba” passed away peacefully at his Montgomery home on June 15, 2023 surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry C. Brooks, uncle William “Gick” Brooks and Brother-in-law Bo Toole. He is survived by his mother Lois Ann Nunes (David), sisters Traci Redden (John) and Bonnie Toole, daughter Desiree Turner (Brad), grandchildren Parker, Addie Kay, and Ryleigh, partner in life Beth Hoener, cousin Shelley Brooks and others, multiple nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and lifelong best friend Terry Haliburton. Jimmy never met a stranger. He loved big and had a heart of gold. He cherished his family and friends. He had a great love for hunting, fishing, his pets, country music and loved to play the guitar. He loved to feed people and always made them laugh and feel important. Despite spending so much time in the hospital, he never lost his smile or the ability and desire to make others feel special. He will be greatly missed. A special thanks to Baptist Hospice for all your love and support during his final days. A gathering to honor his memory will be announced at a later date.
