He also devoted over 10,000 hours in volunteer service with the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System in Montgomery, Alabama, with the Prosthetics department.

He leaves to hold, cherish, and honor his memories, Jack and Jerome McClease, Deborah Harris, and Joan Williams; siblings: Johnny Williams, Barbara Parker, Gladis Williams (Montgomery, Alabama) and Lula Williams (Decatur, Georgia); 14 Grandchildren: Kimberly, Tamika, Erica, LaToya, Jacqueline, Joyceline, Keisha, Jerrica, Amy, LaWanna, Lonnie, Lionel, Nicos, and Melody, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews (who were all his favorites), cousins, his North Carolina family-in-love the Hamiton’s, The Luther’s, and the  Duncan’s.
