Frances "Clai" Mullins Obituary

MULLINS, Frances "Clai" Claiborne a former resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 in Brooklyn, Mississippi. Frances Claiborne (Clai) Mullins was born in Montgomery, AL. on October 30, 1946. She retired after 34 years of employment with the State of Alabama as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Dan F. Prescott and Elizabeth A. Prescott. And her sister Elizabeth Penwood (Penny) Prescott.

She is survived by her daughters Rachel M. Mayfield (Jim) of Maxie, MS. and Kristi Mullins of Montgomery, AL. Her grandchildren Ethan Mayfield, Emily Mayfield and Cole Mullins. And was excited to know that she was expecting her first great grandchild Wrenlee May in September. Her brother Robert Prescott of Savannah, GA. along with his daughter Ashley Jones and son Shawn Prescott (Melissa) and their children Aidan, Logan, Mason and Camden. She also had a bonus family of three grandchildren Tracy Mayfield (Cam) and their son Will of Madisonville, LA. Heather Mitchem (Derrick) and their children DJ and Monroe of Gurley, AL. Heath Mayfield of Meridian, MS. Memorial donations may be made to Forrest General Home Care and Hospice/Asbury Hospice House.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 - 12:00pm at Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services Chapel, 901 South McDonough Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104. A private burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery, 3001 Simmons Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36108. Visitation for Mrs. Mullins will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 - 11:00am to 12:00pm.
