Evelyn Jean Tellis Davis was born January 2, 1959, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Mr. James and Elizabeth Tellis. She departed this life Thursday May 18, 2023, at the age of 64.
She attended Daisy Lawrence Elementary, McIntyre Jr High and Robert E. Lee High School. She went on later in life to receive her LPN license from Trenholm State Technical College. Mrs. Davis was a loving, caring, intelligent, selfless, compassionate, kind, beautiful and hard-working person. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially being part of Jehovah’s Organization.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Vincent Davis, one son; Willie Fred Bevard III, her parents; James and Elizabeth Tellis, four sisters; Jeanette Tellis, Mary Davis, Issac Mays and Emma Tellis West.
She leaves to cherish her memories two children Lakesha Tellis (Bermon) Sheppard (Greenville, AL) and Stacey Bevard (Montgomery, AL), eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Five sisters Bernice Singleton (Montgomery, AL), Elizabeth Hagan (Montgomery, AL), Rosa Griffin (Tampa, FL), Dorothy Tellis (Montgomery, AL), and Terri Tellis (Birmingham, AL). three brothers James Tellis, Jr (Montgomery, AL), Willie Hart (Montgomery, AL) and David Tellis (New Orleans, LA). Two uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including the brothers and sisters of Jehovah Witnesses Congregation.
Funeral service will be Thursday, May 25, 2023 - 5:00pm at Chapel of Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services, 901 South McDonough Street, Montgomery, Alabama, 36104. Visitation will be 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services.
