Eric Anderson was born on January 4, 1967 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was the second child to the late Clarenda Anderson and the late Eddie (Bob) Anderson. Eric was affectionately known to many as “Dirt Dog”. He attended Carver High School, where he later received his GED from Job Corp. His last occupation for seven years was Montgomery Water Works until he wasn’t able to return. Eric was a devoted and loving son, brother, uncle, and true friend until the Lord called him to his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Jackson Hospital. Eric was a true die hard Auburn fan and enjoyed watching Auburn University football. Eric lived a warm life filled with lots of love, joy, and happiness. He always kept you laughing and there was never a dull moment when he was around. God has given him another life, where he won’t have to endure pain, stress, or worries. His captivating smile and energetic personality illuminated any space he entered. He loved helping others and will be remembered by the lives he touched. Eric is proceeded in death by his parents, Clarenda and Eddie (Bob) Anderson.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, four devoted brothers, Wesley (Michelle) Anderson of Montgomery, AL; Eddie Anderson Jr. of Oregon; Christopher Anderson of Los Angeles, CA; Carlton Alexander of Detroit; one loving and caring sister-law Michelle Anderson, five nieces, Bianca, Iesha, Dymond, Lapreisha, & Wes’ Shalay; three great nephews, Xander, Teagan, & Kolton; and great niece I’yah; and also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, Eric Anderson transitioned.
“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.” II Timothy 4: 6-8
