Ellen Lee Ravizee

RAVIZEE, Ellen Lee a resident of Cleveland, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 04, 2025, in a Cleveland, Ohio hospital.  

Ellen Lee (Ravizee) was born April 7, 1927 in Haynesville Alabama (Lowndes County) to the Parents of Rip & Samantha Lee. She was the 16th of 16 children, they all proceeded her in death. She confessed to Christ at an early age and joined the Hopewell Baptist Church where she served until she moved to Cleveland, Ohio.

In 1967 she moved to Cleveland Ohio and joined Peace Baptist Church and served until her health failed.

In 1945 she meet and married Henry Smith. Later in life she meet and married Henry Ravizee, they both proceeded her in death.

Ellen was a great cook of many dishes and especially cakes. She also enjoyed McDonalds Big Mac and Coke. Spending time with the family and celebrating her birthday everyday and asking where is her present. She departed this life Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in Cleveland, Ohio.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children in Cleveland Margaret (Robert) (deceased) Goodwin, Bobbie Hopkins (deceased) (Larry) Hopkins, Lillie Smith, Shirley Smith, Eddie Smith (Naomi), Lee Smith, Elzie Lusane (son/nephew), Ella See and Nellie Rogers-Henning Twenty two grandchildren: Thirty Seven great grand; eight great great grandchildren; Lillian Statam and a host nieces, nephews and other relative and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 - 11:00am at Hopewell Baptist Church, 1832 US 80 West, Lowndesboro, Alabama 36752.  Burial will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2025, 11:00am to 4:00pm at Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services, 901 South McDonough Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104.
