Edgar Roy "Eddie" Barnes

Edgar Roy “Eddie” Barnes, 65, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Montgomery, AL surrounded by family.  Eddie was born on August 3, 1960, in Crestview, FL.  He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard Roy Barnes, Ina Lillian Barnes; and brother, Curtis Barnes. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Rebecca Barnes; three adoring daughters Julia Barnes, Lillian Barnes, and Caroline Barnes; and four beloved brothers, James Barnes (Stephanie), Robert Barnes (Teresa), Leslie Barnes, Kenneth Barnes (Cheryl); and a wide circle of cherished family and friends.

Eddie was the proud owner of Edgar R. Barnes, LLC, a business he built through hard work and integrity.  Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting, volleyball, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

Eddie was a devoted husband and father.  His daughters were his greatest pride and joy. Eddie had a warm and generous spirit.  He was the person who would show up when you needed help, who didn’t hesitate to share what he had, and who never turned down a hug.  His sweetness was genuine, and everyone who knew him felt it.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 @ 2pm at Community of Christ Church, 398 W. First Ave, Crestview, FL 32536. For those who cannot attend, it will be viewable via www.youtube.com/@communityofchristcrestview424.

Eddie will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all who knew him.
