RAWLINSON, Dianne Kimberly, 68 of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away November 11, 2021, after an extended illness. Her visitation will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at Frazer UMC Chapel at 12:00pm followed by her Memorial Service at 1:00pm with Chaplain Matt McCord officiating.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Lamar and Virginia Rawlinson of Montgomery, Alabama.
She is survived by her two sisters, Nancy Brown of Prattville, Alabama, Jan (Steve) Steele of Montgomery, Alabama, niece, Katie (Chris) Lauderdale of Prattville, Alabama, Diane (Adam) Brett, Lindsay Steele and a nephew Scott Steele all of Montgomery, Alabama. The family wishes to express great appreciation yo her caregiver, Carla Thomas. Kim was a 1971 graduate of Jefferson Davis High School, she graduated from University of Alabama with a BS in Psychology and Sociology and Master’s in Criminal Justice from Auburn University of Montgomery. Kim worked in Sales for many years in Alabama and Georgia and became a Sales Director for Mary Kay in 1992 and was a awarded a red Grand Am Sports car. She spent many years with the Montgomery Choral, singing. She also played the piano and guitar. In 1977, Kim was instrumental in changing the State Law in Alabama for height and weight restriction for Correctional Counselors and Guards. It went before the Supreme Court and she won the decision, and got a job at Kilby Prison as a Classification Officer.
