Loving sister and aunt, Diane Williamson Harbin, passed away on August 17, 2023, unexpectedly. Diane, was born to Willie Hugh and Hazel Williamson on January 6, 1951. She graduated from Flomaton High School and went on to attend college in Montgomery, Alabama. After college graduation, she was a teacher within the Montgomery County School System. Upon her retirement with the school system, she went on to serve as Administrative Assistant for the Church of the Holy Comforter. She was employed with the Church for over twenty years. It was a job that she loved and served at until her passing.
Diane loved the Lord and has been very involved in church from a very young age. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Now that Diane has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Diane’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her. Diane joins her parents in Heaven. She will also be greeted by her brother, Phillip Williamson, and her sisters, Donna Williamson and Shirley Gafford. She is survived by many loving family members and friends, including her sisters, Sylvia Chavers and Angie Williamson and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Diane at Heritage Baptist Church in Montgomery on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Visitation will start at 2:00 pm followed by the service at 3:00 pm.
Diane was a giver and loved to do for others. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choosing.
