David Manley Obituary

David Alan Manley, known to friends and family as "Dave," was born on February 9, 1954, in Pensacola, Florida. He passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Prattville, Alabama after a long, courageous battle with ALS.

Dave grew up in Warren, Michigan, where he attended Center Line High School. He serviced his country in the Air Force as a linguist specialist. He went on to earn a degree in Computer Engineering from Ohio State University.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Donna, his four children Alan (Nancy), Brian (Kelsey), Kelly (Justin), Amy (Dave), and two step-children, Elizabeth and Nicholas (Arevik). He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to nine wonderful grandchildren Blake, Cristina, Luke, Haley, Cam, Matthew, Kylie, Ryleigh, and Rosie. Dave was the devoted, oldest brother to Michael (Janet), James (Linda), Joni (Dave), and Janet (Chris)

Dave’s kindness, generosity, and wry sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. His friends and family remember him as a man of great integrity and warmth. Anecdotes from loved ones capture his love for life and the positive impact he had on those around him.

Dave did not wish to have a formal memorial service. A private, immediate family gathering was held the evening of January 22nd honoring his life.
