David Ronald Keller, age 73, passed away peacefully in his home in Prattville, Alabama, on March 27, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with stomach cancer. Born on March 13, 1953, in Jasper, Florida, to Ivy and Mary Francis Keller, David’s life was one marked by devotion to his family, to his country, and to the simple joys that made his world full.

In 1955, the Keller family moved to Baker, Louisiana, where David spent his childhood surrounded by the love of his parents and siblings. As a young man with a steady spirit and a sense of duty, he joined the United States Air Force in 1973. During his service, while stationed overseas, David met the love of his life, Nancy Long. Their bond was immediate and enduring. They married first in Madrid, Spain, on October 28, 1975, and then again upon returning to the United States on October 30, 1975, a testament to a love strong enough to be celebrated twice. David and Nancy went on to share 50 beautiful years together.

After retiring from the Air Force in 1993, David built a life rich with love, laughter, and simple pleasures. He spent countless hours at Bama Lanes in Montgomery and Prattville, where he bowled, bonded, and built lifelong friendships. He loved the peace of a fishing pole in his hand and the thrill of a good catch. Some of his proudest moments were spent on the baseball field, coaching his boys and cheering them on with the kind of encouragement only a devoted father can give.

David also found deep joy in supporting his children through every milestone. He loved watching Robert and CJ play baseball for Stanhope Elmore High School, cheering him on with pride from the sidelines. He treasured watching CJ and Lisa during their JROTC years, standing proudly as they learned discipline, leadership, and confidence. He especially cherished watching Lisa play softball, his quiet pride unmistakable as he watched her shine on the field. All three of his children graduated from Stanhope Elmore High School, a point of pride for him as he watched them grow, learn, and step into adulthood.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Mary Francis Keller, and his brother, Edward Keller. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Long) Keller; his children Robert Keller, Christopher “CJ” Keller, and Lisa Keller; and his cherished grandchildren Ethan (Bridget) Price, Skylar Price, Corey Price, and Arthur Price. He also leaves behind his great‑granddaughter, Blakelynn Price, and an unborn great‑grandbaby who will grow up hearing stories of the strength, humor, and love that defined him.

David is further survived by his brother Roy Keller and family, and his sister Patricia (Keller) Casey and family, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

To know David was to know steadiness, kindness, and a quiet strength that never wavered. He lived a life of purpose, generosity, and deep love, a life lived well. His legacy continues in the family he adored, the memories he shaped, and the countless lives he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
