Clifford B Jackson

JACKSON, Clifford Bernard, affectionately known as “Big Man,” age 64, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Born on September 27, 1961, to the late Dorothy Jackson Harris, Clifford was baptized at Union Chapel AME Zion Church as a child. He attended Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama.

Clifford worked many years as a truck driver for U.S. Foods and later served as a janitor at Eastmont Baptist Church, where he was known for his reliability, dedication, and kind-hearted spirit.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Harris; grandparents Betty Boyd and Emmanuel Reynolds; Step Father Robert Harris; brothers Undre Jackson and Ryan Reynolds; sister Carolyn Jackson; and aunt and uncle Martha and Pugh Young.

Clifford leaves to cherish his memory his son, Clifford B. Ellis; brothers Donald E. Jackson     (Sugar Land, Texas), Kenny Jackson, and Johnny Jackson(Rose), all of Montgomery, Alabama; sisters Gwendolyn Jackson Robbins (Larry Robbins), Yolanda Napier,Bertha Washington and Sharon Harris, all of Montgomery, Alabama.

He is also survived by loving cousins Dr. Phyllis Watson (Mike) of Quincy, Florida; Pamela Barnes of Tallahassee, Florida; Paula Scott of Quincy, Florida; and Walter Reynolds of Baltimore, Maryland.

Cherished nephews include Pierre Jackson, Jarell Jackson, Parrish Harris, Eric Napier, Earmy Napier, Brandon Jackson, and LynDarius Guice; nieces include Tiffany Betts, Kayla Jackson, Rose Jackson, Brittany Jackson, Mercedes Jackson, Shawanda Jackson, Desiree Fleming, Latoya Taylor, Breeuncca Chatmon, Ayanna Grace, and Kiansi Williams.

He also leaves behind a host of family, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends, co-workers, and colleagues who will forever remember his joyful heart and generous spirit. Clifford’s devoted circle of friends — Beverly Johnson, Sherman Johns, and Terio Newton  — remained faithfully by his side throughout his life.

Viewing services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 South McDonough Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36108. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Clifford “Big Man” Jackson will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
