Age 66 – Wetumpka, Alabama
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Clarence Lee Green, who departed this life at the age of 66 in Wetumpka, Alabama.
Clarence was a man full of strength, laughter, and stories — the kind of stories you never forget, and that made him unforgettable. A proud father, loyal brother, and friend to many, Clarence’s presence filled every room he entered. Whether he was cracking a joke, lending a hand, or simply being himself, he left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his beloved children, Jasmine Green and Clarence “Bo” Gunter, who carry his spirit forward with pride. Clarence is also survived by his devoted siblings, Elizabeth Ann Monroe and Valerie Denise Green, who stood by him through life’s highs and lows. His family extends far and wide, including a host of nieces and nephews — both direct and great — all of whom he adored deeply, including his direct nephew Rafareo Collins and his wife Neiri Lee Collins, and his brother Vachel Collins and his wife Felicia Collins.
Clarence also leaves behind his godmother, Phyllis Johnson (Carson, CA), who helped shape his journey with faith and wisdom, and his loving girlfriend, Bonnie Cooksie (San Pedro, CA), who brought light and joy into his later years.
He now joins those who went before him: his mother, Mary Ellen Green, and his sisters, Della McCall and Gloria Collins, whose memories live on in all who loved them.
Clarence’s life was one of resilience, humor, and unwavering love. He may no longer walk among us, but his laugh, his lessons, and his love will echo through the lives he touched.
A celebration of Clarence’s life will be held at Dexter King Memorial Legacy Center, 455 Washington Ave, in Montgomery, AL, where family and friends are welcome to honor and remember the remarkable man he was.
As we extend our deepest condolences to you and your family during this difficult time, we would also like to express our utmost gratitude to you for entrusting us with your loved one.
