Charlotte Thomas Wright, 76, of Montgomery, passed away Nov. 22, 2024. Charlotte grew up in Elba, Alabama and graduated from Troy University. She spent her career as a teacher, eventually retiring as a guidance counselor at Lee High School in Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Grady and Alice Thomas, also of Elba. She is survived by daughters, Ashley Wright, Judith Wright (Daniel Warren), and granddaughter Scarlett Rae Wright Warren; stepmother Janaria Thomas, and step siblings Donna (Morgan) Davis, and Todd McCollough. She will be fondly remembered by countless friends, students and family members for her caring and compassionate heart tempered with her honest, tell-it-like-it-is style. A life celebration gathering will be held Monday, Dec. 2, 1-3 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 6610 Vaughn Rd, Montgomery, AL 36116. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Montgomery or Elmore County Humane Societies.
