Charles Stanly Gregg, 72, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away October 21, 2024. Charles was born in Starkville, Mississippi to Henry and Pocial Gregg on January 08, 1952. Charles was the middle child of five children. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Pocial Gregg, his brother, Thomas Earl Gregg and two sisters, Betty Sheffield and Marie Gregg. He is survived by his wife Mary Farmer-Gregg, daughter, Dawn “DD” (James) Sanders, and his brother, Glenn “Peewee” (Lisa) Gregg. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Dillon Arney, Brooke Arney and Drew Arney and four great grandchildren – Henleigh Kate, Hudson, Jack Parker and Ozzy.
Charles was raised in Starkville, MS and later moved to Alabama where he was in the construction industry for many years before going to work with Autauga County 10 plus years ago until he retired from there in 2022. Charles spent his life pursuing many passions, including woodworking, going to auctions and if there was a good yard sale, he was going. Charles also loved picking up old, discarded items that people would leave on the streets, or the side of the road.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 – 2:00pm at Big Springs Baptist Church, 2003 County Road 77, Prattville, Alabama 36006
