Charles "Donut" Smith, Sr.

Charles "Donut Smith Sr. was born on December 17, 1951, and was a lifelong resident of Montgomery and a beloved member of his community.

He attended Saint Jude High School and was a devoted member of Saint Jude Catholic Church, where he nurtured a deep and abiding faith from his youth through adulthood. His unwavering commitment to his church and community was a testament to his character and values.

Charles will be remembered for his warm spirit, deep faith, and lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved son, Briam K. Smith, and his mother, Annie R. Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving daughter, Shenita "Ms. Ann" Jackson (Dwayne) of Stone Mountain, GA; a devoted son, Charles J.

Smith (DeKeshia) of Montgomery, AL; his cherished grandson, LaJeremy Nickerson and four adored great-grandchildren.

Charles is also survived by three brothers: Jeome Smith, Adam Smith (Eliane), and Vincent Smith, all of Montgomery, AL; Three nephews:

Jerome Smith of Texas, Zackery Davis (Joyce), and Brandon Bently.

He is remembered fondly by his aunts: Janie James, Mary Ware, and Roberta Davis, all of Montgomery, AL, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
