Charles Christopher Clark

CLARK, Charles Christopher, a disciple of Jesus Christ, entered the Lord’s presence after a brief illness on Friday evening, February 7, 2025, at his home in Prattville, Alabama. Chris was born October 3, 1951 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late James Monroe and Mary Pouncey Clark. He is survived by his wife, Freda Mann Clark; stepdaughter and granddaughter, Mica Jones and Julia Kaye Jones of Prattville; his sister, Pat Clark Hammond [Terry] of Hoover, Alabama; brother, Bill Clark [Cecelia] of Prattville; and well-loved nephews and nieces.

Chris was a graduate of Covenant College in Chattanooga, TN and received a Master of Theological Studies from Cranmer Theological House in Houston, TX.  He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Prattville where he participated in the Sanctuary Choir and the English as a Second Language Ministry. He retired from the Alabama Department of Public Safety after a number of years. Chris enjoyed dancing with Freda, coaching Bama football from the living room, goofy impressions, and music, including his early role as keyboardist for The Drones. His lifelong love and study of the Scriptures shaped his devoted prayer ministry to friends and family.

Visitation will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church of Prattville, AL. The Memorial Service will follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial gifts to First Presbyterian Church of Prattville, AL.
