Brenda Gayle Dorsey

Brenda Gayle Dorsey, 77, of Prattville, Alabama, entered into eternal rest on October 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful friend to many.

Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James William Dorsey IV, and her son, James William Dorsey V. Their memories remained a constant source of strength and comfort to her throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Thomas; her seven grandchildren, Lacey Dorsey, Braxton Dorsey, Jarred Burnett (Hagen), Gavin Dorsey, Grayson Dorsey, Kacee Burnett, and Skyler Thomas; as well as four great-grandchildren, Kopelynn Burnett, Harely-Ann Burnett, Colt Burnett, and Waylon Burnett. Brenda is also survived by her brothers, George Culver (Kathy) and Rodney Culver (Theresa), along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Known for her unwavering love for her family, Brenda especially treasured the time she spent with her seven grandchildren. Her life was a testament to the beauty of family bonds, and her legacy of love and devotion will live on through the family she cherished so deeply. Brenda’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of  Brenda’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Pine Level Community Center. The family will have visitors from 3:30 4:00 with the service to start at 4:15 After the ceremony, the family invites you to join them for a reception to honor her memory and the love she shared so freely.
