Stroud, Barha N. (NINA), lovingly known as Nana, a resident of Montgomery, AL, transitioned on Wednesday May 14,2025 at her residence surrounded by the love of her family. She was born to the late Annie Elizabeth and William Stroud on December 22, 1961. She was preceded in death by her sister Gloria Faye Stroud, and brothers James Lamar Stroud, Bobby Williams Stroud, Edward Asbury Stroud, Danny Thomas Stroud, Julias Ladale Stroud.
Life was not always simple for Nana, but she faced each challenge with quiet strength and grace.
She was best known for her deep love of Alabama football — Roll Tide was more than a saying, it was a season-long celebration in her home. She found joy in the simple things: crafting with her grandchildren, sitting in the sun, going the beach and gardening.
Her legacy is one of love, strength, and joy — the kind that lives on in every touchdown cheer, beach vacation, and craft table shared.
Nina is survived by her brothers Randy Glen Stroud, and Michael Lynn Stroud, her sister Annie Monett Stroud. She also leaves behind her daughters Jeannie Holland, Meagan Ruff, two sons, Timothy Stroud and Daniel Ruff. Her grand kids, Bryanna (Breonna), Aliyah, Rodney, Tj, King, Harmony, Zakaria, Roman, Stella, Bentley, and Braylee, her great grandkids Alivia, Elijah, and Renae’lynn and many friends who become family along the way.
“Though her journey wasn’t always easy, her love never wavered.”
“To know Nina, was to love.”
